Dear Prospective Member,

Welcome to your first step in becoming an active member of the Anderson County Rescue Squad! We are pleased that you have shown an interest in serving your community. All of us here are just like you. We have a desire to help our fellow man in his most desperate hour of need. We look forward to working with you in the near future and helping you succeed in this department. The rest of this orientation packet (also linked below) will help you get started on your way to becoming an active member of our organization. Best of luck to you!

Before you are voted into the Rescue Squad on a probationary basis you must first complete a short interview process. As a probationary member you are expected to complete the orientation checklist. It is ultimately your responsibility to complete the checklist with the approved orientation officers. There will be one orientation class per month. You may choose to take the orientation class before or after the next scheduled business meeting provided you have completed the interview process, have your application and background check on file. The orientation class and orientation checklist must be completed prior to your 60 day probationary period expiring or the period will be extended one time for another 60 days. You cannot be voted in as a full member until this is completed.

As a volunteer organization ran by members of your community, we understand that your work schedule may not allow you to be here on the scheduled orientation class date. This issue should be addressed as soon as possible with an orientation officer. We will make every effort to schedule a class to better suit your needs. Again, we look forward to working with you in the near future.
