- ACVRS staffing second Crash Truck in Lake City
Anderson County Rescue Squad is pleased to announce we will be staffing a second crash truck in the Lake City area on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekly. As most of you may know, the critical time during an emergency incident is the first 60 minutes, referred to as the "golden hour". Since a large percentage of our call volume occurs during the weekend, staffing this unit will allow for a quicker response to emergencies. By reducing our response time, we hope to provide a better overall outcome to those involved. We would like to thank our dedicated members who have made this possible. This is another huge step in improving our service to the citizens of Anderson County.

On September 17, 2008 Carlisle Tire and Wheel Company donated six ITP Mud Lite tires to the Anderson County Rescue Squad. These tires will be used on our Polaris Ranger side by side off road vehicle (MERV) that is based at Windrock Mountain. When an emergency occurs on the mountain, the MERV is the safest, and usually the only way to remove patients from the dense wilderness area. The MERV is also capable of carrying EMS personnel, allowing EMT's and Paramedics to begin treating patients during transport off the mountain. Anderson County Rescue Squad would like to thank Plant Manager Paul Swiderski, Allen Tadlock, Mike Freeman, and all the representatives from Carlisle Tire and Wheel Company. We are fortunate and proud to have a corporation within our county that is dedicated to the well being of our citizens!
