Search and Rescue Team
The Search and Rescue Team is a new addition to Anderson County Rescue Squad. The SAR Team was formed in November 2009 by a group of highly dedicated individuals within the rescue squad who sought to further their education and training to better serve the citizens and visitors of Anderson County.
The SAR Team is responsible for the Search and Rescue of lost individuals but that is just where it starts. The members of the SAR Team are also trained in High/Low Angle Rescue Techniques, Swift Water Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Cave Rescue and Vehicle Extrication. Along with all the specialties listed above we also are training in Overland Tracking in conjunction with the NASAR Society.
The SAR Team is in the process of teaming with other Departments around the county, both volunteer and paid, to garner a county wide relationship unlike any other in the region.
This is an extremely exciting time for the Anderson County Rescue Squad! If you would like to be a part of the excitement and adventure then visit our Prospective Members Page today!
